The ASB sub-committees

The volunteer sub-committees look after the detail of running the ASB, covering aspects such as membership development and policy. They meet as required, with the Chairs attending the ASB Executive Committee. The current sub-committees are:

Gillian Dick

 Membership

Growth, recruitment and retention of members both individual and by affiliations with other organisations – targeting the potential to reach the 2.2m women in Scotland.

Deborah Forrest

 Events

Event research & development, event management of ASB events, collaboration on events with other organisations – providing valuable national opportunities to inspire, link and support members.

Alison Henderson

Sponsorship & Funding

Income generation research & development, Grant and Tender applications, securing sponsorship opportunities – providing a healthy and sustainable financial foundation enabling value-add services to be provided to women in business.

Andria Reid

Operations

Operational management and development - ensuring the smooth running and development of a fit for purpose and up to date operation in terms of processes, technology and administration.

Maggie Georgopolous

Business Development

Customer insight, product / service research & development, new projects e.g. national directory of women in business, mentoring, learning & development – keeping abreast of the value-add services women in business need.

Julie Hall

Influencing & Policy

In partnership with Women’s Enterprise Scotland, policy research & development, lobbying, corporate relations, policy-related media relations – proactively representing women in business and their views to become the voice of women in business in Scotland.

Jackie Brierton

Affiliated Groups

Management and development of relationship and representation of interests of the organisations affiliated to ASB - providing input to ASB Strategy / priorities and the aggregated feedback / requirements of each affiiliation.
