GORDANA ROSS

Rise to Health Coaching

Gordana is a Health & Life Coach, Nutritional Therapist and aspiring Functional Medicine Coach, passionate about helping high achievers break up with stress, overcome chronic fatigue and prevent or recover from burnout so that they can wake up rested, feel energised and thrive mentally, physically and emotionally.

Having experienced those health challenges herself, Gordana recovered from burnout eventually and made it her mission to help others overcome their health challenges and regain their health. She believes that with the right attitude, support and accountability, anyone can achieve optimal health.

MAGGIE GORMAN

Business Gateway Stirling

Maggie recently joined Business Gateway Stirling team in 2018 bringing a wealth of business experience. Maggie graduated from University of Strathclyde studying Law and business studies. 

Maggie has 15 years experience of developing new business, executive coaching, strategy planning and performance management and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

JEANETTE STEVENSON

Head of Education and Training, Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh

Jeanette is part of the senior management team at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, where she is Head of Education and Training. Her leadership has enabled the College to strategically expand its programme: 21,000 doctors in 31 countries now benefit from RCPE Education.

Previous roles have included administrative roles in UK Universities, and the management of a language school in Penang, Malaysia.

Jeanette has an MBA from the University of Durham and is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute. She serves on the Board of Edinburgh College, and is welfare officer for her Triathlon Club.

ALISON HENDERSON

Dundee and Angus Chamber of Commerce

Alison is proud to have led the team at Dundee & Angus Chamber since 1st November 2014, and in that time has seen membership grow from 420 to over 700 making Dundee & Angus the fastest growing Chamber in the BCC network.

She is passionate about business and the local community, and is honoured to be a Board member of the Dundee & Angus Developing the Young Workforce Group. This employer-led group, created in response to the Wood Commission for Developing Scotland’s Young Workforce, plays a vital role in the co-ordination and strengthening of engagement of employers in the agenda, to enable our region’s young people to move into sustainable employment.

Alison is also Past President of the Association of Scottish Businesswomen, who work with partners to support Scottish Government on their Women in Enterprise Framework Agenda and Action Plan, and champion their network of over 700 women across Scottish businesses.

Alison is Co-Chair of the Dundee Work and Enterprise Group, sits on the Dundee Partnership Management Group, the Enterprise Advisory Committee for Dundee & Angus College and leads the Chamber engagement with Angus Council. She was a member of the first Fairness Commission in Dundee and believes passionately in equality and fairness for all.

Outside of work, Alison is a wife, mother, an avid reader, and a social media-holic. She is a very proud Dundonian, a Burgess of the City of Dundee and loves to walk along our many local beaches!

SANDRA BENN

Board member, mentor, active contributor to causes such as gender diversity

Sandra spent 34 years as an energetic and commercially focused Retail Banking professional, gaining wide experience in distribution and sales roles, people management, organisational change, risk, business process change, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion.

In her second career she runs a small portfolio of passions and interests that include board, mentor and charitable foundation support roles.

HELEN LIVINGSTON

Managing Director, Branding Boutique

Helen is the founder of Branding Boutique, a communications and marketing agency established in 2002 and headquartered in Glasgow.

Branding Boutique deliver wide ranging brand and communications strategies across a diverse range of business sectors, from tech startups to national and worldwide brands.

Helen’s mantra is Love your Brand, Live your Brand, Be your Brand. Branding Boutique’s proactive change management approach brings focus to brands and businesses, working with boards and management teams on their strategy creation, implementation and evaluation. And for Helen, always thinking beyond the horizon

NICK PRICE 

Executive Partner, Bright Purple

Nick has been in the technology and professional services recruiting industry since 1990, placing everything from graduates to £million pound partners for global giant’s and probably quite a lot in between and across many countries, adding value through the formation of trusted working relationships.

He founded Bright Purple Resourcing in 1995 with his partners and has grown it over the years in to a successful and trusted brand to customers across many sectors. Then in 2016 a change in direction; Bright Purple and Primed.tech merged and Nick became a board director of the new parent company. Primed.tech specialise in delivering regulatory compliance, project assurance and change governance.

Nick has served his time on a variety of boards such as ScotlandIS and National Chambers of Scotland, as well as Internationally on the British Chamber of Lithuania board

JULIE HALL

Business Development Worker, WEvolution

Julie supports women to build their confidence and start their own business. She is a former President of ASB and mentor of SMEs to help them grow their businesses.

Julie is a great believer in women having every possibility of learning, developing and being all they wish to be, and is involved with organisations and policy making to ensure women get all the support needed to grow their businesses.

BONNIE CLARKE

Chief Executive Remarkable

Bonnie is currently Chief Executive at Remarkable, a leading organisational and leadership development business who have been successfully supporting and improving organisations of all types, sizes and sectors since the early ‘90s.

As Chief Executive, Bonnie has overall responsibility for the organisation working closely with both the Senior Leadership Team and with the Chair and Board.

Her areas of responsibility include:

  • Leading the development of Remarkable’s vision to create 1 million leaders by 2023 – both in the long term and on an annual basis
  • Building relationships on behalf of Remarkable across our stakeholder landscape, including the Scottish Government and corporate partners such as Investors in People UK and Turn the Ship Around
  • She leads the Senior Leadership in the areas of work across the organisation: Finance, Client Relationships, People and Marketing

Her previous experience includes Director for Scotland at Badenoch & Clark and Regional Director with Hays. She is curious about people and about business.

Bonnie is a Non-Executive Director with Women’s Enterprise Scotland.  She was the Chair of Women onto Work and the Chair of The National Theatre Scotland Advisory Development Board.

In 2014 she was awarded the Institute of Directors (IoD) Female Director of the Year and in 2015 the IoD Director of the Year for Family Friendly Flexible Working.

Outside of work, Bonnie’s interests include her horse and all things equestrian.

EMMA MILLER

Director, Leopold + Frida Communications Photo

Emma Miller is a business owner, publisher and communications director, as well as being a mum of two teenage daughters. Emma is the owner of media brand Miller Mitchell Media Ltd., the parent company of luxury lifestyle communications agency Leopold+Frida, and Hood magazine, which is Scotland’s only free, national glossy magazine. 

With a degree in Publishing from Edinburgh’s Napier University, and over 20 years’ experience working with some of the country’s best-loved fashion and beauty brands, Emma launched Hood in October to cater for Scotland’s modern, professional women and give them the aspirational yet relatable publication she felt was missing from the marketplace. 

A year on from launch, Hood is read in print and online by over 60,000 women every month, and is stocked in over 80 Marks & Spencer, Tesco and Sainsbury’s stores across Scotland.

ROZ HAUGHEY

Operations Manager, Remarkable

Roz left school in 2000 aged 16 with no career path and no direction! 19 years on she is the proactive, enthusiastic data-focused Operations Manager at This is Remarkable Ltd. She is also a board member and a mentor for Career Ready UK, as well as a mentor to local school & university students.

And this year aged 35 Roz secured a place at Edinburgh Napier University, and this September she will go back to school as a Graduate Apprentice studying a BSc (Hons) in Data Science!

Her specialties include; Data Analysis & Management, Execution and Implementation, Performance Management, Project Management, Stakeholder & Relationship Engagement, Strategy & Business Models.

And most importantly out of office hours (if there is such a thing) Roz enjoys travelling the world and looking after her 4 cats, new puppy Storr!

STEVE TURNER

Partner at Exolta Capital partners ~ Commercial Director at DPS Group

Steve is a lifelong entrepreneur starting his first business aged 12 capitalising on the closure of the school tuck shop. 

After studying at Heriot Watt University, he went on to work for Casio and Acco Brands where he managed a variety of international markets working extensively in Europe and Asia.

Since returning to Scotland in 2009, Steve is perhaps best known for his work in providing export advice to Scottish SME’s and for his  work as an ambassador for the Scottish Business Network helping Scottish businesses access the wider Scottish Diaspora to create and win more business internationally.

Steve is a partner at Exolta Capital partners and Commercial director at DPS Group, a Fife based engineering company specialising in Electrical, instrumentation and control systems for Manufacturers.

DOROTHY HENKE

Business Advisor, Ceteris

A graduate of Stirling University, Dorothy has been involved in supporting Scottish companies for over 25 years. She is passionate about helping businesses prosper and has worked with a diverse range of businesses offering information management services. She has also worked within the enterprise network and is currently a part-time Business Gateway Growth Adviser in Clackmannanshire.

After leaving university Dorothy joined Burroughs Computers, and after two years at World Headquarters in Detroit, was invited to head up the systems department at the corporation’s flagship manufacturing facility in Livingston.  Dorothy and her husband have owned a number of businesses ranging from printing, computer support to financial services

KIM MORAN HOGG

Vodafone UK

Kim Moran Hogg, from Glasgow, is an outstanding senior leader of business, respected across industry in both Scotland and Northern Ireland, as a consummate professional.  

Kirste Johnston, an active supporter of women’s empowerment, having successfully sold seven figure sum contract values in Scotland, whilst fundraising and supporting an array of charities.
