I am currently the operations manager, however I recently received a promotion and from May 1st 2017 I will be the Operations Director.
I am the CEO, co-owner and Founder of The Little Art School Co Ltd.
What is your background prior to working for this company/setting up your company?
Prior to Tribe Yoga I was a yoga teacher in Edinburgh, and prior to this I worked in retail management and delivered group exercise classes and yoga in various fitness centres in Denmark. I joined Tribe as a teacher and was quickly promoted to studio manager and 6 months ago Operations Manager.
What makes your company and/or your role stand out?
Personally I am a multi-qualified teacher with a strong passion for yoga and well-being. For me, the best thing about teaching is being able to share the practice of something I love, something that has changed my look on life to being more positive and grateful for every moment we are given. Seeing how the clients always walk out of classes feeling taller, happier, and more relaxed makes me so happy. My expertise is my eye for details, and my ability to develop people’s strengths to the fullest. What we do is so personal to so many people, and it is so important to me that my team feels supported and able to speak freely to their manager. I take my employees dreams and career very personally and I do everything I can to help them develop and be the best they can be.
I believe that when people feel supported and trusted they are able to grow and perform in the most optimal way, both personally and professionally.

What are your plans for the future?
I would like to incorporate more travel and strategy into my work. We have future plans for retreats and events around the world, including opening more studios beyond Scotland. My company will be funding a 6 weeks training somewhere in the world for me to take the next stage of teacher training. This qualification will also allow me the ability to teach the next generation of teachers.
What inspires or motivates you?
I am inspired by all the people I meet every day. Our business is growing rapidly and it is so amazing to feel the support from our clients and other businesses.
The team we have built these last 18 months has become a close family and being able to benefit so many people’s lives every day doing what I love is truly an honour. It is so important to me that Tribe Yoga always deliver the best and ensure that all of our clients feel welcome, valued and in safe hands. I am motivated by our team and my Managing Director who always believes in me, and my sometimes crazy ideas.
I am a perfectionist, and I live to learn, grow and improve in every aspect of what I do.
