What is your current role within the company?
I am the Managing Director of LAH Travel.

What is your background prior to working for this company/setting up your company?

 I have always worked in travel but 13 years ago started my own business.  So have had many roles within the industry giving me a huge scope of experience so from commercial, sales, marketing, HR, corporate travel to name a few 

What makes your company and/or your role stand out?

LAH Travel are very proud of our success and the many awards we have won within the industry and  outwith AABW, ASB and Chmaber of Commerce etc.  This year we were voted in the Top 5 agents in Scotland and in the Top 50 in the  UK so this was our proudest moment to date.  

 What is your area of expertise / inspiration?
 It may sound cheesy but it is so true - we get to make peoples dreams come true - and people holidays are so important to them. We  are privileged to be entrusted with their holiday plans.  With nearly 30 years of experience in the industry nobody knows travel better.  However every day is a school day, and I love that we learn all the time.  

 What are your plans for the future?

 I have plans to open a call centre offering bespoke holidays and cruise giving us the option of having extended opening hours and 7 days a week.  At the moment we are open 6 days.  

 What inspires or motivates you?

 I am inspired every day to be the best version of me and do better than the day before that way you are moving forward.  My mantra is  IT IS NOT HARD TO SHINE. Having being self employed for 13 years, it is a lonely journey so I have learned that the only person that  can motivate you is YOU!
