What is your current role within the company?
I write the blogs, reply to everyone, organise events and give people an insight to living with MND. I am Lucy's Fight.
What is your background prior to working for this company/setting up your company?
I left school in 2012. I took a gap year where I worked as a waitress at Baxter's in Fochabers so that I could spend the summer doing Camp America at a girl scout camp in Idaho. August of 2013 I started studying business in Glasgow. 3 months into my course and many trips to the doctor, I was diagnosed with MND at the age of 19. After a nasty fall, I moved home to Moray where I started Lucy's Fight as I needed something to live for.
What makes your company and/or your role stand out?
Lucy's Fight is true, honest and uncensored. It's about learning to live for today and hoping there's a tomorrow.
What is your area of expertise / inspiration?
Living with MND is my expertise. While finding a cure is my biggest inspiration.
What are your plans for the future?
My plan for the future is to carry on sharing my story but hopefully to a bigger audience. To do every item on my bucket list.
What inspires or motivates you?
The possiblity of a MND free world inspires me the most. I've seen how me having MND has affected my family and friends. That I don't want anyone else to have to deal with the heart ache I've had to endure. This is what has motivated me to share my story and dedicate my life to raising awareness and fundraising.
