What is your background prior to working for this company/setting up your company?
I am a History graduate from the University of Strathclyde. and have worked as a Technical Records Officer for an Aircraft Maintenance Company, an office coordinator for a food manufacturer and an administrator for a welfare-to-work organisation before starting up my own business.
What makes your company and/or your role stand out?
White Rabbit Skincare is a luxury, eco-friendly and award winning skincare brand. Our products are 100% handmade in Scotland, registered with The Vegan Society, certified cruelty free by PETA and endorsed by Naturewatch. We want to make being eco-friendly glamorous!
What is your area of expertise / inspiration?
I am entirely self taught in the ‘art’ of skincare manufacture, and there is plenty more to learn, but it is an area I am passionate about and like to work on. I am inspired by other independent, small business owners, who are helping to change the economical landscape of our country, whilst overcoming challenges on a daily basis!
What are your plans for the future?
We have the vision of becoming the most influential natural and vegan skincare brand – in the world. In the short term, we want to increase our current offering, expand our market share and build our brand awareness, as well as moving into international markets. Long term I want White Rabbit Skincare to be more than a skincare company; I want us to be involved with more charity work/causes, to encourage entrepreneurship in young people, and to make real, positive social and environmental change.
What inspires or motivates you?
As well as being lucky enough to do something I am really passionate about, I also have a vision board and goals I want to achieve. Winning an ASB award was one of those goals – as is being able to take my Mum and Dad on an all-expenses paid holiday!
