Angels’ Share Glass launch whisky-filled baubles

A must-have Christmas product – whisky-filled glass baubles – has been launched by giftware firm Angels’ Share Glass run by ASB member Karen Somerville.

The lovely creations are an addition to the firm’s line of hand-blown decorated glass baubles with a whisky quote sealed inside.

This time, instead of a quote, 50ml of whisky has been sealed within the glass bauble which comes in a boxed set featuring four colours and four whiskies.

And unlike the firm’s signature line of whisky Angels, this whisky is made for drinking as the cork which seals it inside is removable.

Karen says: “We came up with the idea after seeing how popular the whisky quote baubles are - especially in the run up to Christmas.

“We teamed up with Douglas Laing & Co Ltd who provided four regional whiskies to go inside the baubles.

“They are very colourful and unlike our Angels the whisky inside is made for drinking – it’s not the Angels’ Share for a change but the customer’s!”

The hand-made baubles will be make an exclusive addition to any Christmas tree and are ideal for a lovely gift or treat.

They cost £48 a box and each is filled with a different whisky from Douglas Laing's Remarkable Regional Malts range.

The colours are Orange (filled with Big Peat); Green (Timorous Beastie); Red (Scallywag) and Mother of Pearl (Rock Oyster).

The original individual baubles are also available from £10 and customers can choose from a range of famous whisky quotes or decide on their own personalised message.

In addition to the baubles, Angels’ Share Glass has a range of gifts which are perfect for Christmas shoppers.

They include Miniature Sets, Whisky Angels and Whisky Water Droppers.

Angels’ Share Glass is based in Bridge of Allan, near Stirling and was established by Master Glassmaker Tom Young MBE and his daughter Karen Somerville in 2013.

The family firm specialises in unique glass creations and also offers a gift-wrapping service which includes various wrap and bow options.
