We are delighted to be joined by four fantastic panellists representing a range of sectors and viewpoints.
Our fantastic panel will be sharing their own experiences with Professional and Personal Development (PPD).
PPD is a holistic approach to how you develop, progress and enhance your career but developed in two ways. Professional growth is all about gaining new skills and experience. That means your development is either related to your current role or the role you want to do next. Personal development fits alongside professional growth — so if you want to progress in your career, you’ll need to develop personally first. That’s the only way you’ll be able to handle your fears, take on more responsibility, and succeed with greater challenges.
Understanding more about PPD will help you create an upward spiral that helps you get where you want to go.
Delegates will have the opportunity to choose one workshop from each session at the time of booking.
CAT TREBILCO - REACH THE PEAK - Mountain Leader & NLP Master Practitioner
Your personal values govern every single choice you make, from the small things like what to eat for breakfast, or what to wear each day, up to the big life decisions such as where to live, which partner you choose, and the job or career you have. Most of us are not consciously aware of these values and how they affect our decision making.
This workshop provides an opportunity to discover your personal values and how they are influencing your life, with a particular focus on whether your business or career is fulfilling your values and where they might be any conflicts. Living a life aligned to your values creates a sense of wellbeing and fulfilment - things feel easy, 'in flow,' and smooth. Whereas, if you are living or working in conflict with your personal values, it's uncomfortable - it can quite literally cause 'dis-ease.'
Becoming aware of your values can lead to better health and wellbeing. In this interactive session Cat aims to help you to : Understand what personal values are; Understand how your values are formed and organised; Discover and explore your own personal value hierarchy; Have a greater understanding of what makes you happy or unhappy, and why; Gain a greater insight into areas of conflict with others; Understand your own internal conflicts.

GURINDER LALLI - GIN LALLI SOLUTION FOCUSSED THERAPY
Gin will talk about the science behind how the brain functions during anxiety, stress and depression. An accumulation of negative thoughts over time can mean that we feel overwhelmed and out of control. Understanding the biological process that causes this enables us to manage these symptoms and feel better both mentally and physically. By using examples and metaphors, Gin gives you an accurate, straightforward explanation of brain function and how, by improving just one underestimated area of your life, you can empty your ‘stress bucket’.
Gin began her career as an Optometrist and increasingly found that anxiety, stress and depression were having a huge impact on the health and wellbeing of her patients. Gin has always been fascinated by how the brain works; why can some people cope with difficult circumstances and others find it more challenging? In order to investigate and understand brain function, Gin began a journey to study neuroscience and psychology, which ultimately led to her becoming a qualified Solution Focused Psychotherapist.
Gin helps people to regain control of their lives by explaining the science behind how the brain functions and by employing the latest evidence-based techniques of positive psychology and mindfulness.
4. The Change Equation
LIZ OLIVER - RETHINKING - Personal Change Consultant
This workshop will present a holistic approach to change based on two key aspects
1) aligning the four human intelligences (physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual)
2) knowing how to overcome resistance.
Liz has been involved in Learning and Development since 1998. Her initial work teaching Neuro Linguistic Programming as part of the University of Dundee’s continuing education programme, was combined with one-on-one work as a coach and therapist. She was also a part-time tutor in the University of Dundee’s Management Development Programme (2002-2011) and facilitated workshops on NLP, motivation, values, emotional intelligence and stress management.
Liz joined Dundee-based organisation, Insights Learning & Development, in 2004 and played a significant role in the design and delivery of much of Insights’ portfolio. This included co-creating both the Insights Transformational Leadership and Deeper Discovery offerings. Liz was responsible for creating the learning materials for practitioner accreditation in these areas and has been delivering multi-day train-the-trainer events for Insights throughout the UK and Europe since 2007. Her last role as an employee was to support a community of over 2000 Insights Discovery practitioners with their on-going professional development. She left a legacy in Insights by creating an entire CPD programme for practitioners, called ‘Inform and Inspire’.
Since April 2016, Liz has been establishing her new business ‘Rethinking’, in which she is following her passion by supporting individuals and businesses in mastering change. Her unique approach explores the integration of multiple intelligences (Physical, Intellectual, Emotional and Spiritual), and involves a combination of online learning, one-on-one coaching and face-to-face workshops.
As an adjunct to her work, Liz is also a committed member of two multi-national communities, both of which have a core interest in supporting the integration of spiritual intelligence (SQ) in the workplace.
