Institute of Directors

“We all want to succeed in our organisations and learning to be more effective leaders, promoting good governance, transparency and trust is at the heart of what IoD Scotland represents. By engaging across our communities, and helping to influence policy and practice, we can ensure Scotland is a great place to work, live and thrive”.

Aidan O’Carroll, Chair, IoD Scotland

As such, The Institute of Director’s aims are clear, to support, represent and set standards for business, encourage entrepreneurial activity and promote responsible business practice for the benefit of the business community and society as a whole.
Better Directors, better business and a better economy are all key aspects of The Institute of Directors Royal Charter.

With a full programme of professional development courses, a calendar of key events including the annual Scottish Conference, The Director of the Year Awards, and a comprehensive package of Scotland specific benefits, there is much to offer and much more to gain from membership with The Institute of Directors.

With a membership base of over 1600 in Scotland (and 30,000 across the UK) Scotland is well supported by seven branches of volunteer committee members and an Edinburgh based Executive team.

We would be delighted to meet you and discuss how membership could bring real value to you and your business.
