Hello. I’m Gale Winskill, a freelance editor, book coach and trainer. I specialise in fiction (adult and children’s), but also edit adult non-fiction (including memoir and business texts). I work with independent and debut authors, as well as trade publishers, and can provide all the professional TLC you need, to enable you to present your narrative in the best way possible, by means of constructive advice, collaboration and a good sense of humour.

I have over 30 years of experience in the UK and abroad, both in-house and as a freelancer, and am an Advanced Professional Member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP).

I offer book coaching to authors; create and deliver training courses and workshops for authors and editors, as well as businesses that need help with writing- or publishing-related issues; and tutor for the HarperCollins Author Academy (fiction stream) and the CIEP.
