I began my career as an Environmental Health Officer before moving into Business Development and mentoring across both the private and third sectors. That shift opened the door to work I care deeply about: championing charities, supporting start‑ups and helping organisations build strong, ethical governance. I still mentor new businesses today, and it remains one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

In early 2024, I stepped into the role of Operations Director at Highland‑Escape.com, where I manage a luxury exclusive‑use holiday home and wedding venue overlooking Loch Ness. It’s a role that allows me to showcase the very best of the Highlands while advocating for regenerative tourism and shining a light on the hidden gems our region has to offer.

I joined Highland Business Women in 2019 and spent a few years quietly observing from the side-lines. Everything changed in January 2024 when I attended our Charity of the Year selection event. I was genuinely moved by the passion and impact of the organisations pitching to us, and when the Charity Ambassador role became available, I knew I had to step forward. Championing our chosen charity and watching it grow through the support of our members has been an honour.

At the heart of all my work is a commitment to building brilliant, people‑first organisations. As Associate Director at inpurpose associates, I help founder‑led SMEs and third‑sector organisations move from constant firefighting to an operating rhythm that actually works. My focus is on blending people, systems and technology so leaders can grow sustainably, without burning out.

In practice, this means:

• Conducting operational reviews that cut through the noise and pinpoint what truly needs to change

• Designing and embedding simple operating systems that make work flow and decision‑making easier

• Implementing practical systems, automation and data that support growth rather than create more admin

• Strengthening people systems — roles, responsibilities, rhythms and conversations — so performance feels human, not harsh

• Supporting leaders and boards to navigate change with clarity, honesty and plain speaking

Alongside my consultancy work, I serve as President and Board Director at Highland Business Women, creating spaces where women can connect, grow in confidence and lead with purpose. I also bring operational excellence to life at Highland Escape, a multi‑award‑winning luxury accommodation business rooted in values, hospitality and sustainability.

Across every role, my mission is the same: to help build workplaces where people can do their best work without losing themselves in the process — organisations that are commercially strong, values‑led and genuinely sustainable.
