After dedicated years serving Scotland's charitable sector—managing programs for Cystic Fibrosis Trust and leading a social enterprise in Dundee—I discovered a new calling that perfectly aligns my passion for animals with my entrepreneurial spirit.
Solo Paws was born from personal transformation. When facing mental health challenges that required stepping away from traditional office environments, I reimagined what a fulfilling career could look like. I found my answer in the joy and purpose that comes from working with animals and supporting couples on their most special days.
Today, Solo Paws has evolved into Scotland's premier dog chaperone service for weddings, complemented by our flexible pet care options including dog walking, short-stay sitting, and cat visits. Our dedication to exceptional service has earned us multiple industry recognitions, including the 2024/2025 Prestige Scotland Awards for Dog Walking Company of the Year and Dog Sitting Company of the Year.
My approach to business is deeply influenced by my own experience as a devoted pet parent to two Border Collies, two cats, nine hens, and four ducks. I understand first-hand the special bond between pets and their owners, and the importance of trustworthy, personalised care.
When I'm not ensuring dogs are picture-perfect for wedding ceremonies or exploring Scotland's beautiful landscapes with my canine clients, you'll find me enjoying afternoon tea, spa days, or discovering new cafés and restaurants across Perthshire.
