Remind men they matter:
There are two reasons why I am choosing to coach men. As a single mother raising two boys, and having known several men in my life (father, brother, partner, friends) who I care deeply about, I feel there is still a lack of support towards men's mental health needs.
Second, my focus is to help men accept and understand they are worthy of being themselves—to feel emotions and be loved and valued for who they are, not just for what they can provide. Societal pressures and historical roles are making men feel lonely, sad, and afraid to reach out. Men deserve to be loved for who they are, without a mask. They deserve to be allowed to cry and be soft and cared for.
So if you know a men, who needs a little nudge, whose light is maybe a bit dim and who's sparkle needs to be reignited, send him my way.
The sessions can take place online (via Teams) or in person (in a public place like a café, since I don't have an office). I am also starting to offer sessions outdoors, like walk-and-talk sessions. There are several advantages to walking sessions: side-by-side positioning reduces the intensity of direct eye contact, having something else to focus on takes pressure off the conversation itself, and it makes the conversation feel like a natural part of something productive rather than the sole focus.
The sessions are up to 60 minutes each, once a month, and we will start by identifying where you are and where do you want to go. During the coaching journey with me, in a safe, non-judgmental and confidential place, we will draft a plan and the steps to achieve your goal. We'll start with a 30-minute pre-coaching call to explore how we can work together and ensure it's a good fit.
Because I'm building my coaching practice and want this opportunity to be accessible to everyone, I'm inviting participants to contribute what they can comfortably afford. This could be anything from the cost of a coffee to a full session fee, or even an exchange of services—whatever feels right for each individual. In return, I ask for honest feedback and reviews I can use to promote my services. These can be anonymous.
Key words: Transformational coaching, professional coaching, personal development
My background includes a degree in architecture, experience as a real estate agent, extensive training in fitness including fitness and personal training as well as nutrition adviser; as a senior admin and trust administrator and, more recently, in politics. On my free time I am out and about, exploring my beautiful home, Scotland. You will find me up a munro, paddleboarding, running, camping, in a concert, at the pub or in a ceilidh. I also believe in spirituality and that we all have been born for a purpose.
