I'm a Chartered Civil Engineer and recently became a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and won the Sustainability Champion 2025 (ICE Scotland). I teach in the business school at Strathclyde University predominantly around change management; strategy; sustainability and leadership.
I have an accreditated carbon literacy programme which has also been mentioned in the Scottish Parliament because of our design and approach. Its a get S*** done programme based on commercial reality and team dynamics with strong supply chain approaches.
I also fix problems (companies don't want to have) 🤯 these typically fall into the categories of waste 💩 and people 🫂 . Typically waste streams that could be pollution - are polluting - or have value within a circular economy framework. The people part is around embedding change programmes to support internal accountability and low cost-low tech methods to improve this. So improving internal policy- upskilling through training frameworks -including creation , delivery and follow on aspirations. (we do all of this too!)
And addressing incoming legislative changes such as CSRD- Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive. My strength isn't the submission of CSRD, I have a working knowledge of that. My value sits upstream: strategysing and building operational processes and procedures that become the organisations platform to demonstrate compliance and double materiality. I embed ways to start gathering the right metrics- for your team to own.
I develop in house bespoke training and organisational development reviews supporting team dynamics and culture.
I have 3 children , 4 cats and spend most of my free time running around as their slave!
